OREANDA-NEWS. August 26, 2011. New project on overhaul optimization provided RUB 80 million savings.

Conceptually new approach to overhauls was applied in workshops No.51, 52, 34, 48 of Monomer Plant and at refinery units “Catalytic cracking-1”, GFU-1 and L-16-1, L-35/11-1000.

This approach is based on more elaborate preparation and organization of regular overhauls. Critical path method was used to manage overhaul process (to detect those items of work on which the duration of shutdown depends), detailed plans of each overhaul were created, and subcontractors’ resources were elaborated, accurate activity networks were made for each employer and unit of equipment.

As a result, economic benefit from measures taken at the Refinery and Monomer Plant within the frames of the new project totaled about RUB 80 million. In addition, overhaul period was reduced and annual schedule of overhauls was revised in compliance with market conditions.
