OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2011.  The first container train (destination station Moscow-Tovarnaya Oktyabrskaya) was handled at the Container terminal of CJSC “Fourth Stevedoring Company” (CJSC “4SC” is included in the group of companies “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg”). 

Railway transportation of 76 20-feet containers of Mediterranean Shipping Company S.A. (MSC) was performed by 40 railcars of JSC “TransContainer”.

It is planned that this railway transportation will become regular and will depart once a week in accordance with the dedicated schedule.

Container terminal of CJSC “Fourth Stevedoring Company” has 2 railway tracks in its disposal, which are suitable for receipt and handling of the container trains. Effective length of each of the tracks amounts to 469 m,  overall length of each track is 700 m. Delivery of containers by railway transport is performed via Avtovo railway station.

Terminal works with the following lines: Team Lines, APL, Sea Connect, Unifeeder, Maersk, MSC, Delta Shipping Lines.
