OREANDA-NEWS. August 25, 2011. LLC “STROYGAZMONTAZH” has completed construction – installation works on the facilities of the first start up complex of reconstructed gas pipeline “Saratov – Gorkiy” on section “Pochinki – Saransk”. The company performed all works two months earlier the planned time term.

A solemn ceremony dedicated to putting into operation of a new gas pipeline took place on August 16 in the region of Saransk town, the Republic of Mordovia. Nikolay Merkushkin - Head of the Republic of Mordovia, Igor Shegolev - Director General of LLC “Gazprom transgaz Nizhniy Novgorod”, Nail Rakhmatullin – Chief Engineer of JSC “Gazprom invest Yug”, as well as representatives of LLC “STROYGAZMONTAZH” management took place in this ceremony. The speakers emphasized the importance of the project for ensuring of reliable gas supply to the region. Professional work of contracting companies, first and foremost of LLC “STROYGAZMONTAZH” was especially distinguished. Thanks to well coordinated work of all participants of the construction, as it was marked during the ceremony, it became possible to achieve high speed of working and to hand over the facility ahead of schedule.

LLC “STROYGAZMONTAZH” built 81 km of a new gas pipeline in parallel with operating trunk gas pipeline “Pochinki – Saranska”, and also carried out installation of 17 block valve stations, chambers of treatment facilities startup, gas reduction spools, cathodic protection devices. In the course of construction the crossing under the Rudnya river with length about 300 m was made.

The trunk gas pipeline “Saratov – Gorkiy” with length of 606 km was put into operation in 1960. The reconstruction will make it possible to increase work reliability and gas pipeline capacity.
