CFMCC Group Hit New Records for Hoisting of LPG Ship-borne Tank
OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2011. China First Metallurgical Construction Group (CFMCC Group) announced recently that, a LPG ship-borne tank with a capacity of 5300m?(2*2650)and a weight of 550 tons, the largest one in China so far, was successfully hoisted and placed in the ship cabin in Hubei Jiangrun Shipyard, reported the press-centre of MCC.
This record was hit by the Mechanization Company of CFMCC Group by utilizing the crawler crane (1000t), breaking through the previous record (a LPG ship-borne tank with a capacity of 5000m?) made by the same company on July 23, 2011, and it is regarded as the new domestic record in terms of LPG ship-borne tank.
The Mechanization Company of CFMCC Group started the emerging business of LPG ship-borne tank hoisting operation in 2006, basing upon its advantages on large-size lifting equipment. For this purpose, the company conducted specific training courses for technicians and hoisting operators, and purchased the necessary lifting devices with a huge investment. In this way, CFMCC Group witnessed a rapid establishment of strength in the field of hoisting operation, and achieved a certain market share for lifting of LPG ship-borne tank.
