S&P Affirmed Corporate Governance Rating of DBK
OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2011. The agency Standard & Poor's affirmed the corporate governance rating of Development Bank of Kazakhstan (hereinafter - DBK) at GAMMA-5+ and its consecutive withdrawal. As analysts say, the composition of DBK's Board of Directors is the most important advantage in the system of corporate governance, reported the press-centre of KASE.
DBK's rating affirmed at GAMMA-5+, - a result of assessment on four components of the analysis on scale from 1 (low) to 10 (high):
1. Ownership structure and external impact - "5";
2. Shareholders' rights - "5";
3. Transparency, audit, and management risk - "5+";
4. Efficiency of the Board of Directors, strategic process, system of motivation - "5+".
The rating has been withdrawn upon Standard & Poor's initiative due to a decision to stop rendering services associated with evaluation of corporate governance under GAMMA methodology. However, evaluation of the corporate will be carried out within the credit analysis conducted by S&P.
