Government of Ukraine Authorised Vice PM on Letter-Appeal to EDB
OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2011. The Government has authorized the First Vice Premier - the Minister of economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Andriy Klyuyev on letter-appeal signing to the Euroasian Development Bank. The Government has approved the corresponding draft of the order of the President of Ukraine at the session.
This document is confirmation of intention of Ukraine about joining to the Agreement on organization of the Euroasian Development Bank.
The Euroasian Development Bank - the international financial organization formed by the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan in January, 2006 in which have joined Belarus, Tajikistan and Armenia in 2009. Activity EDB is based on standards of activity of the international financial organizations, and predominant purpose of bank is assistance to development and integration of member countries by investment in priority projects and to development of their trade and economic relations. In comparison with other international financial organizations projects in production sphere constitute a considerable share in structure of a credit portfolio of bank.
The necessary steps for the introduction of Ukraine in EDB are: the direction of the letter-appeal on intention expression to join the Agreement on organization of the Euroasian Development Bank from January, 12, 2006, decision-making by Council of the Bank and the subsequent joining to this Agreement by its ratification.
Participation of Ukraine in EDB will allow receiving real economic advantage, to involve additional financial resources for realization of investment projects and to deepen cooperation with the Bank states-participants.
