OREANDA-NEWS. August 22, 2011. UZTELECOM, national telecommunications operator, opened first six one-window sales and service centers where clients can receive the whole range of services in one place.

Two new centers were opened in Tashkent and one each in Tashkent region, Nukus, Samarkand and Jizzakh.

These centers provide services like fixed telephone communication, internet services, mobile services and others.

By the end of this year, UZTELECOM plans opening a total of 50 newly branded sales and service centers across Uzbekistan.

Launching the new centers at a ceremony in Tashkent via teleconferencing, director-general of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information Hakim Muhitdinov said wide-scale reforms in the sector over the past years had allowed significantly increasing the quality of telecommunication services in the country.

UZTELECOM provides services like renting fixed and mobile communication channels to operators and providers, international and intercity communication, data transfer and internet access, videoconferencing, mobile and fixed communication of CDMA-450 standard, providing channels for transmission of TV and radio programs and others.

Earlier this year, UZTELECOM underwent rebranding, which included uniting various services the company provides under one brand and two sub-brands, UZONLINE and UZMOBILE.
