OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2011. Two gas mains to Nakhodka and Vrangel are included in the program of gasification and must be laid till 2015. That was reported at Nakhodka city administration’s Department of Architecture and City Planning.

Draft program of gasification stipulates laying two gas mains from the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas line to gas distributing stations (GDS) in Vrangel and Nakhodka till 2017. The total length of the gas pipeline to Vrangel will be 168 kilometers. According to program, its construction is planned for 2012. The completion of the job is scheduled for 2015.

According to chief of the Department of Architecture and City Planning Sergey KULPIN, there are two versions of gas supply to Nakhodka city district – with account taken of Heat and Power Plant and with no account of it. At the moment, selection of real proposals is taking place to choose the most rational one.

We would remind you that Primorsky Krai was included in the program of gasification of the Russian Federation’s regions. Regional program of gasification was approved on its basis. Gazprom was appointed by the Russian Government as the program execution coordinator. First of all, it is planned to convert Heat and Power Plant-2 of Vladivostok to gas burning. After that, Gazprom plans to start planning, surveying and construction in Primorye. The Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas pipeline will contribute to increased gas supplies to Vladivostok and ensure the launch of generating capacities in Primorye, in particular, for the 2012 APEC summit.
