OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2011. Maria Bogomolova has been appointed an Assurance Partner at PwC Russia's Moscow office. Her responsibilities will include rendering audit and consulting services to financial institutions, primarily insurance companies, reported the press-centre of PwC.

Maria was born in Moscow on 22 November 1976. In 1998, she graduated from the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation with a degree in Finance and Credit.

In 1997-1998, Maria worked as a teller at AvtoBAZ Bank Moscow and as an accountant at an oil company in 1998-1999. In 1999, Maria joined PwC Russia's Moscow office as an audit consultant. In 2006, she went on secondment to the London office of PwC UK as a manager providing audit and consulting services to insurance and investment management companies. In addition to participating in audits, Maria has experience in conducting due diligence, as well as providing other consulting and training services to insurance companies and banks. Maria is an active insurance conference participant and the author of several articles for insurance publications.

Maria has a Russian statutory audit licence for audits of insurance companies and is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) since 2004.
