Alexey Shinkarenko Appointed Partner with PwC Legal CIS B.V.
OREANDA-NEWS. August 19, 2011. Alexey will manage the firm's corporate and M&A practices, which provide comprehensive legal services to support Russian and cross-border deals. Services include corporate restructuring, legal due dilligence for businesses and assets in various industries, structuring both inbound and outbound investments, creating and managing joint ventures, and protecting shareholders' rights, reported the press-centre of PwC.
Alexey was born in Moscow in 1976. He graduated from the Russian-German University in 1997 with a degree in law.
From 1997 to 2003, Alexey began his career working in a variety of Russian and international companies. In April 2003, he joined PwC Russia, where he worked for four years. In 2007, he moved to KPMG, where he worked as senior lawyer for a year. Following this, Alexey spent another two years as senior lawyer in the corporate practice of US law firm Hogan & Hartson's Moscow office (2007-2010). In 2010, Alexey returned to PwC Russia, where he has contributed considerably to the formation of PwC Legal. Alexey has taken part in a number of major projects related to FDI in Russia, as well as cross-border deals, including acquisitions and joint ventures in foreign jurisdictions. Mr Shinkarenko also had an internship at a law firm in the UK, and has a wealth of experience in providing transaction support under English law.
In addition to his transaction support experience, Alexey has consulted clients regarding the creation of personal asset management structures (i.e. private family trusts, foundations, and family offices, among others), as well as protection of assets in Russia and foreign jurisdictions.
