OREANDA-NEWS. August 18, 2011. Max Alier, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Resident Representative in Ukraine, issued the following statement in Kyiv:

“An IMF mission headed by Mr. Thanos Arvanitis will visit Ukraine on August 29-September 9 to continue the discussions on the second review under the Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) and on the 2011 Article IV consultation.”

The SBA was approved on July 29, 2010 for SDR 10 billion (about USD 16 billion) in support of the authorities’ economic adjustment and reform program (see Press Release No 10/305).
