The board of directors (the “Board”) of Kazakhmys PLC announces that a meeting of the Board will be held on Wednesday, 24 August 2011 for the purpose of, amongst other matters, considering and approving the half-yearly results for the six months ended 30 June 2011 and the payment of an interim dividend for the year ending 31 December 2011.

Kazakhmys PLC will announce its half-yearly results for the six months ended 30 June 2011 on Thursday, 25 August 2011 at 7.00 a.m. (UK time). The half-yearly results will be released in Hong Kong at 4.15 p.m. (Hong Kong time).

A presentation for analysts will be held in the Library at J.P. Morgan, 60 Victoria Embankment, London EC4Y 0JP at 11.30 a.m. (UK time)/6.30 p.m. (Hong Kong time).
