One of Gazprom Neft’s subsidiaries, Gazprom Neft Lubricants, has become a general sponsor of the Russian Extreme Rally Team, providing the team with technical and financial support. The team will begin to use only G-Energy branded lubricants in their Chery-manufactured cars during their races, which will take place at events such as the Rally Championship and the Russian Rally Cup. Gazprom Neft will also provide support to the team’s training programme for young drivers, which was introduced by Russian Extreme in 2009.

The product line manufactured by Gazprom Neft under the G-Energy brand includes synthetic and semi-synthetic oils designed for use in modern passenger and commercial vehicles produced in Europe, the USA and Japan. The G-Energy range includes over 40 products, including a specialised line of lubricants for automotive services. G-Energy is an adaptive motor oil, meaning that it can adapt to different engine conditions and activate the necessary additives at the right time.

On August 5, 2011, a two-car team racing under the Russian Extreme banner participated in the Russian Rally Cup in Vyborg while displaying G-Energy symbols. “Testing lubricants under actual operating conditions is extremely important for the company. It gives us the opportunity to demonstrate the high quality of G-Energy lubes, as well as enables us to continue improving the formulation”, Alexander Trukhan, Director of Gazprom Neft Lubricants, stated.
