In July 2011, Ingosstrakh Insurance Company paid USD 230,000 USD according to the policy of hull insurance in connection with damage to the engine of the IL-76TD aircraft. On August 27, 2009, the engine blades of IL-76TD aircraft belonging to Russian Sky Airlines (an affiliate of VIM-Avia Airlines) were damaged by a foreign object during the flight from El Obeid to Port Sudan.
