Russian Mobile Game Premieres on China Mobile Portal
OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2011. i-Free is pleased to announce that, for the first time ever, a Russian Android game has made it to page one of the game portal of China Mobile, the largest cellular operator in the world. The game is Zum-Zum by Russian publisher HeroCraft, and it was localized for China by i-Free, reported the press-centre of i-Free.
i-Free, now titled as the Best Content Provider of China Mobile, in partnership with mobile game developer HeroCraft had provided the launch of Zum-Zum in China.
i-Free had contributed to the localization and testing of the game on all Android-based phone models that have circulation in China. As an official content provider for China Mobile, i-Free then published the game on the operator’s portal.
“It means a great deal to us to have a presence in this major official sales outlet,” said HeroCraft CEO Pavel Prokonich, commenting on the China launch of Zum-Zum. “This means we now have access to the broad audience of the fast-growing Chinese market. Now that our game is on this portal, more people will get to know the HeroCraft brand in China, and our international development strategy will get a new impetus overall.”
Zum-Zum is a fascinating arcade with colorful graphics and an amazing soundtrack, recreating the atmosphere of ancient Egypt. The point of the game is to destroy chains of multicolored balloons. Wandering inside an ancient pyramid, the user can play on 35 labyrinth levels and solve the mystery of a magic artifact.
“We take pleasure in helping Russian developers put their intellectual products on the highly challenging Chinese marketplace,” commented Evgeny Kosolapov, CEO of i-Free Asia. “We are ready to offer them all the resources i-Free has in China to launch interesting, high-quality mobile products.”
Zum-Zum can be found on page one of China Mobile’s game portal, in the “New” section: http://game.10086.cn/www/hd/2010/ophone/.
