OREANDA-NEWS. August 15, 2011. Ukraine and China are stepping up the military- technical cooperation. About it said the Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov at a meeting with a member of the Central Military Council, the Chief of General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army General-Colonel Chen Bingde.

"Ukraine is ready to intensify military cooperation, to exchange of military delegations, officer, to expand Chinese military training in higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine", - Mykola Azarov emphasized. He added that increase of military-technical cooperation will help the Intergovernmental Commission on military-industrial cooperation between Ukraine and China.

The Head of Government stressed that, in particular, the cooperation on the construction of heavy transport aircraft, heavy ships, and ships on air cushions, construction of tanks and facilities of antiaircraft defense are prospective.

The Prime Minister called on the Chinese side also deepens cooperation in aircraft building. "Especially would like to draw attention to the aircraft building. The Aircraft Corporation of China and the Ukrainian company "Antonov" necessary deepen cooperation. At the same time Mykola Azarov noted that Ukraine has the most modern technologies, including the construction of heavy transport aircraft, which have no analogues in the world.

The Head of the Government informed the Chinese side that produces safety energy Ukraine engines for aircraft and helicopters. The Prime Minister added that yesterday in Zaporizhia, he acquainted with Building Design Development and Production of aircraft engines. "I was very pleased with our high efficiency motors. Compared with foreign analogues the Ukrainian engine with the same power consumption use to 18 percent less fuel".

Mykola Azarov charged to conduct a detailed analysis of military- technical cooperation Ukraine with China and on the basis of this analysis to offer 5-10-year program of cooperation between Ukraine and China.

In his turn Chen Bingde noted that Ukraine and China have the prospects to enhance for both the public and military- technical cooperation.

"Our cooperation at the state level has reached a very high level, and for the army it has very good prospects. We must intensify our cooperation and up it to a higher level", - he said.
