MCET Allies with Namibian Partner for Highway Works
OREANDA-NEWS. August 12, 2011. President Shen Heting and Vice President Huang Dan of MCC Limited met with a visiting delegation from Namibia at MCC Building in Beijing, reported the press-centre of MCC Limited.
The delegation consisted of four members, including Chairman Ludwig Narib and Chief Executive Officer Engelhard Haihambo of Roads Contractor Company (RCC) of Namibia. The visit purpose of the Namibian delegation was to sign a joint venture cooperation agreement with MCC Communication Engineering Technology Co., Ltd. (MCET) for MR125 Highway Project in Namibia, enhance the friendship and mutual trust between RCC and MCC Limited, and so as to lay a consolidated foundation for the future collaboration on more projects in a wider field.
Shen extended a warm welcome to the guests, and gave a detailed introduction to the corporate profile and business sectors of MCC Limited. He expressed gratitude and appreciation to RCC’s partnership with MCET, and promised that MCC Limited would provide all necessary supports to MCET for the smooth implementation of the proposed project. During the meeting, Chairman Yin Xuezhi of MCET, Vice General Manager Ding Xiaobo of the 19th China Metallurgical Construction Group (19MCC Group) and the other MCC staff present at the occasion conducted efficient communication with the Namibian guests, and expressed their wishes for sincere cooperation.
Under witness by Shen Heting, Huang Dan and H.E. Mr. Leonard Nambahu, Namibian Ambassador to China, a grand contract signing ceremony for MR125 Highway Project was convened between MCET and RCC at MCC Building after the meeting. Chairman Yin Xuezhi of MCET and CEO Engelhard Haihambo of RCC signed the joint venture agreement respectively on behalf of each party. Director Li Jingtao of MCET Overseas Business Division and Senior Executive Assistant signed on the agreement as witnesses of each party.
The signing ceremony was presided over by Vice General Manager Zhang Xiaoping of MCET.
After the ceremony, both parties conducted in-depth communication on the major issues in relation with the cooperation on MR125 Highway Project. This works, which is located in Caprivi Strip, a province in the northeast of Namibia, and with a total length of 210km, will be contracted on an EPC basis.
The successful inking of the contract not only symbolizes that MCET has achieved a big progress in its strategy of exploring overseas markets, but also marks a substantial breakthrough of MCC Limited in the construction market in Namibia.
Director-General Li Jian for Industrial Management of MCC Limited, Vice General Manager Xu Yongjie of MCC International Incorporation Limited, and Director-General for Contract Management of RCC were also present at the meeting and the signing ceremony.
