OREANDA-NEWS. August 11, 2011. Last weekend the works for the thermal energy supply scheme were completed at Krasnoyarsk CHP-3. One commenced measures for the Sovetsky District consumers connection to heat supply from Krasnoyarsk CHP-3

For reference: since June 03, 2011 works had been in progress at Krasnoyarsk CHP-3 for the heat supply scheme modification as related to the plant preparation for the first power unit commissioning.

The works performance necessitated complete outage of the plant. The consumers receiving heat resources from CHP-3 were switched over to hot water supply from Krasnoyarsk CHP-2 and the KRAMZ-Energo boiler plant.

Currently, the scope of works for the newly commissioned equipment (a new turbine and a new boiler) to the operational stage of CHP is fully complete. One has performed reconstruction of the thermal output terminals pipelines from the peaking boiler plant to the heat distribution node. This enables one to proceed with supply of heat from the peaking boiler plant in the same mode as before but with a possibility to connect the commissioned power unit heating plant. One has replaced the thermal output terminals tubes which have resulted in the heat supply system operational reliability enhancement.

To ensure consumer hot water supply from CHP-3 Krasnoyarsk Heating Network enterprise undertook the heat supply systems flushing. Currently, the heating networks are refilled and in circulation mode. Connection of the Sovetsky District consumers to CHP-3 has begun.

Switchover of a great many consumers as per the new scheme being a labour-intensive process, hot water supply interruptions are likely during 1–2 days. In some houses water quality deviation in terms of colour may be observed. However, deviations in terms of water bacteriological content there are none. Compliance with sanitary and hygienic norms is controlled at Krasnoyarsk CHP-3 and within the heating networks.

The new equipment commissioning and operation as per the new scheme will enable improvement quality of heat supply in the Sovetsky District already in the coming heating season and provide for new consumers connection possibilities.
