OREANDA-NEWS. August 9, 2011. SC "Olympstroy" and Sochi Olympic Organizing Committee prepared a second report on implementation of green standards in design and construction of Olympic venues. The document also describes how structures erected for the 2014 Olympic Games affect the sustainable development of the North Caucasus.

Use of green construction standards fully meets the commitments made in Sochi 2014 Bid Book. Certification for compliance with these standards is one of the instruments of acknowledging responsible ecological approach and progress in use of resource-saving technologies. Four systems of green construction standards, differing in status and ways of use, are applied in preparation of the 2014 Winter Games: Additional Ecological Requirements and Recommendations of SC "Olympstroy", Corporate Green Standard of SC "Olympstroy", International BREEAM Standard and System of Voluntary Certification of Immovable Property — Green Standards.
