OREANDA-NEWS. August 9, 2011. On July 24-28 JSC “KazTransOil” holds a final tour of the “Best Oil Pumping Station – 2011” competition.

A final competition was preceded by a rigorous competitive selection of stations on the level of branches of KTO, in the result 6 OPS which will challenge title of the best station in 2011 became finalists.

The annual contest for the best oil pumping station has become a good tradition of the company.

The main goals of the contest are: involvement of the staff of oil pumping stations in the process of improvement of reliability, fail safety of work, improvement of energy efficiency, strengthening of labor discipline and extension of advanced work experience, maintenance of oil pumping stations in condition of high-tech preparedness, introduction of advanced modern technical maintenance of main pipelines and further improvement of control methods over technical condition of technological equipment, detection of professional knowledge, skills, high qualification of staff during determination of the best oil pumping stations.

Oil pumping stations represent a complex of facilities, installments and equipment designated for oil transportation via pipeline. All stations possess a developed and comprehensive production infrastructure: pumping aggregates, tank farms, systems of water and heating energy supply, fire extinguishing, automatics, tele-mechanics.

The best OPS is elected by confirmed competition commission in two tours: the first tour is held on the level of branches of the Company, the second – on the level of the entire company.

All oil pumping stations of the Company compete. To create equal conditions all oil pumping stations are divided on three groups characterized by the volume of their tank farm.

The first group – with a tank farm of more than 50 000 m3, the second – tank farm with a volume of 20 000 - 50 000 m3, and the third group – tank farm with a volume less than20 000 m3.

Among the indicators, used for assessment by juries of quality of work of OPS, a majority of aspects of production activity, which form a comprehensive characteristic of the enterprise. Technical condition and quality of technical maintenance of OPS and attached section of main oil pipeline, observance of technological discipline, state of systems of fire safety of OPS, maintenance of technical documentation, completeness of staff with means of individual protection - basic indicators of normal and full operation of oil pumping stations, which are very accurately inspected and assessed by contest commission. During the competition professionalism, knowledge and skills, observance of standards of technical safety of staff, working on the station were also assessed. All above impact on disrupted, accident-free and fruitful work of oil pumping stations.
