FAS Initiated Case against Ministry of Health Care of Sverdlovsk Area
OREANDA-NEWS. August 09, 2011. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against the Ministry of Health Care of the Sverdlovsk Region upon the signs of violating the antimonopoly law, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
FAS suspects that the Ministry violated Parts 1 and 3 Article 15 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition” by issuing No. 2038-p Order “On the Procedures for Quality Control of Medicines in the Sverdlovsk Region” of 18th November 2008.
The Order can unreasonably prevent economic activities because it sets requirements to economic entities and restricts their rights for selling and buying goods that are not provided for by the law of the Russian Federation.
The same Order assigns the functions and the rights of the bodies of state control and supervision to “Sverdlovsk Centre for Certification and Quality Control of Medications” State Health Care Institution (“Centre for Quality Control and Certification of Medicines” State Budget-Funded Health Care Institution of the Sverdlovsk Region).
