OREANDA-NEWS. August 09, 2011. Air Moldova airline joined BSP* Cyprus, Billing and Settlement Plan. It allows air tickets selling for direct and connecting flights of "Air Moldova" on the territory of Cyprus, throughout the network of agencies, members of BSP Cyprus. The network includes 120 agencies IATA accredited, reported the press-centre of Air Moldova.

In Cyprus "Air Moldova" makes sales through its own representative in Larnaca. The benefits of joining BSP Cyprus for "Air Moldova" are: fewer resources required for billing and collection, increased financial control thanks to centralization and grouping, consolidated document flow, permitting accelerated quality controls. BSP system simplifies and reduces work through the use of electronic ticketing.

Joining BSP Cyprus "Air Moldova" agent network significantly expands, tickets for "Air Moldova" flights, as well as for flights of "Air Moldova" partners due to SPA agreements (Special Prorate Agreement) can be purchased from any of IATA accredited agencies situated on the territory of Austria.

Adherence to BSP Cyprus is a part of the company's strategy to expand sales channels.

In present, "Air Moldova" is a member of BSPs of 14 countries – Canada, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Turkey, Austria, Russia and Cyprus. In 2009 "Air Moldova" joined ARC (Airline Reporting Corporation), this allows all "Air Moldova" customers to purchase tickets for "Air Moldova" direct and connecting flights all over the territory of USA, Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands and American Samoa. In 2011 Air Moldova joined BSP Austria and BSP Russia.

"Air Moldova" operates flights to 20 destinations – Frankfurt, Vienna, Bucharest, Istanbul, Lisbon, Madrid, London, Athens, Larnaka, Rome, Milan, Verona, Paris, Moscow, Sankt-Petersburg, Munich, Kiev, Varna, Sochi and Antalya, offering to the passenger two classes of service Economy and Business.

* BSP - is a system designed to facilitate and simplify the selling, reporting and remitting procedures of IATA Accredited Passenger Sales Agents, as well as improve financial control and cash flow for BSP Airlines. The main feature of BSP system is using a single standard ticket (Standard Traffic Document), instead of individual tickets for each company.
