Moldova Unveils E-Governing Projects in Delhi
OREANDA-NEWS. August 09, 2011. A Moldovan delegation, headed by Government's Secretary General Victor Bodiu, participated in the e-World Forum 2011 in Delhi, India. The delegation's visit to India aims at studying the country's experience in the e-governing sector, according to the government's communications and press relations department.
The e-Wolrd Forum 2011 was organized by India's government in partnership with the private sector. The most innovative e-governing projects implemented by the Indian government both at the federal level and in provinces were presented at the forum. India has made big progress in the implementation of public-private partnerships aimed at transforming the public sector by applying cutting-edge technologies.
It is worth mentioning that the forum brought together IT specialists from different countries, including governmental officials, representatives of companies and world leaders in the field. The meeting focused on two key-issues: e-governing (e-governing initiatives taken over and implemented by many states) and e-health (information and communication technologies implemented in the healthcare system).
The forum was a perfect framework for establishing relations between important institutions in the processes of managing public services, exchanging experience, as well as creating new partnerships. At the same time, the forum offered a platform for boosting the e-governing implementation at the global level.
The Moldovan delegation held many bilateral meetings with the participants in the forum. On 3 August, Moldova presented key projects on its e-governing agenda during a special workshop dedicated to Moldova. The workshop s goal was to present Moldova's assets in the e-governing sector, and to consider opportunities to cooperate with the Indian partners. The reports aroused great interest both on behalf of the authorities' representatives and private companies.
