OREANDA-NEWS. August 09, 2011. AB Bank SNORAS has finished publicly distributing the emissions of one-year fixed 5 per cent interest bonds and has attracted LTL 90.804 million for the activity expansion. Bank SNORAS during the emission distribution period sold the bonds of EUR 7.660 million nominal value, while the bonds emission of LTL 64.355 million distributed in parallel, which was acquired by more than 1700 investors, is the largest emission of the fixed interest debt securities that has ever been publicly distributed in Lithuania, reported the press-centre of Bank SNORAS.
During the debt securities distribution, which ended on 31 July 2011, Bank SNORAS distributed the total of LTL 64.355 million and EUR 7.660 million nominal value bonds with the fixed 5 per cent annual interest norm. The total nominal value of both emissions exceeds LTL 90 million. The bonds emission in litas was acquired by 1,751 investors, in euros – by 691.
“This year we are the most active issuer in the debt securities market in Lithuania. The results of the emission show that people express interest in various investment opportunities, whereas 5 per cent fixed annual interest bonds offered by Bank SNORAS turned out to be very marketable – especially among natural persons,” says Remigijus Bartaska, the director of Bank SNORAS Investment Business Division. “The total of LTL 200 million were attracted for the activity expansion during the six bond emissions, the total of 6 thousand legal and natural persons acquired the debt securities of the bank.”
According to R. Bartaska, the attracted funds will let Bank SNORAS increase the activity volumes more flexibly and participate even more actively in the market of crediting business clients and natural persons.
Bank SNORAS was distributing the debt securities according to the base prospectus of LTL 500 million non-negotiable securities, which was approved for one year by the Securities Commission on 16 June this year. The new distributed bonds emission will not be included in the trade on the regulated market; however, if money is urgently needed, during the entire bonds validity period investors will be able to sell the bonds to the investment Bank “Finasta”, belonging to SNORAS group, which will be regularly posting bonds redemption prices on the website www.finasta.com.
Bank SNORAS plans to distribute the new bonds in the future as well. Today Bank SNORAS began to publicly distribute the new emission of “basketball bonds” according to whose conditions, if the national men's combined team wins gold medals in the European basketball championship, the investor would receive 20 per cent return on investments (10 per cent annual interest) after two years.
