Oil Production
TATNEFT produced 2,201,407 tons of crude oil in July which amounted to 100.1% versus July of 2010. Above-the-plan production amounted to 44,342 tons (102.1%), reported the press-centre of TATNEFT.

The Company produced 15,058,532 tons during the period of seven months accounting for 43 thousand tons increase versus 2010 (100.3%). Above-the-plan production amounted to 305,740 tons (102.1%). 14,754,671 tons were delivered with the above-the-plan delivery amounting to 316,541 tons.

147,552 tons of crude oil or 102.5% to the plan and to the level of the previous year were produced from the fields of TATNEFT Group of companies in the territory of the Russian Federation outside Tatarstan.

Drilling
Traditional Drilling
The total penetration of new drilling performed by Tatburneft Management Company for seven months of 2011 amounted to 350.5 thousand meters (384.1 thousand meters in 2010), including: 289.3 thousand meters drilled for TATNEFT (320.5 thousand meters in 2010). Of this number production drilling amounted to 287.2 thousand meters and exploratory drilling amounted to 2.1 thousand meters.

New drilling penetration for subsidiaries of TATNEFT amounted to 27.4 thousand meters (12.1 thousand meters in 2010), including 27.1 thousand meters of production drilling and 0.3 thousand meters of exploratory drilling.

231 wells (258 wells in 2010) were constructed and delivered to the customers, including 176 wells (188 wells in 2010) for TATNEFT with all of them being production wells.

21 wells (7 wells in 2010) were constructed and delivered to subsidiaries of TATNEFT, including 19 production wells and 2 exploratory wells.

Drilling in the Operating Stock

The penetration of sidetracking and horizontal wellbores for seven months of 2011 amounted to 25.3 thousand meters (19.5 thousand meters in 2010), including 13.1 thousand meters (12.8 thousand meters in 2010) penetrated for TATNEFT.

54 wells (49 wells in 2010) were delivered to the customers with 36 wells (34 wells in 2010) for TATNEFT.

36 drilling crews performed traditional well drilling operations in 2011. 10 drilling crews were engaged in drilling lateral wellbores and lateral horizontal wellbores.

Penetration per one crew in 2011 amounted to 10,067 meters (9,992 meters in 2010).

36.7 thousand meters were drilled outside the Republic of Tatarstan. 46.5 thousand meters were penetrated in horizontal wellbores and bottomhole splitters.

Well Repairs
727 well remedial operations were performed in July 2011 with a number of well remedial operations performed during seven months amounting to 4 539, which is 433 wells less, than in 2010 (4,972 wells for 7 months of 2010). The number of remedial operations performed at the production wells reduced by 12.9 % (from 4,303 down to 3,750), while the number of injection well repairs increased by 40.8 % (from 409 up to 576).

23 wells have been repaired outside the Republic of Tatarstan since the beginning of the year with 21 wells for Tatneft-Samara and 2 wells for Tatneft-Severny.

The workover operations were performed in 1,481 wells (222 wells in July) during seven months of 2011, including: production string sealing in 235 wells; shutting-off individual layers and recompletion in other intervals in 156 wells; transfer of wells into different categories and wells completion for injection in 74 wells; failure liquidation and cleaning of the electrical cable and bottom hole areas in 141 wells and physical liquidation and re-liquidation in 23 wells.

460 wells were worked over with application of coil tubing (65 wells in July), including 76 wells worked over through the annulus.

Formation hydrofracking operations were performed in 184 wells (27 wells in July), which is 24% more than for the similar period of 2010 (148 wells for 7 months in 2010). The increasing incremental crude oil recovery volume amounted to 5 million 159 thousand tons.

25 small diameter holes were drilled and completed for TATNEFT during seven months of 2011. At present drilling of one slim hole is in progress for each of the following NGDUs: Almetyevneft, Yamashneft and Nurlatneft.

Works on oil recovery enhancement (EOR) were performed at 1,351 wells (242 wells in July), including chemical treatment methods applied at 780 wells (139 wells in July).

The incremental oil production volume resulting from the application of the enhanced oil recovery methods amounted to 2 million 814 thousand tons of crude oil with the chemical methods accounting for the production of 1,446 thousand tons.

Bottomhole area treatment operations with application of TATNEFT's technologies were performed at 1,791 wells during seven months.
