OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2011. Ukraine requires qualitatively new approach to progress of agricultural mechanical engineering. Thus there are examples of manufacture of qualitative domestic techniques and land reform will increase possibilities of peasants on its purchase. The Minister Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Mykola Prysyazhnyuk declared this during his visit to Kherson machine-building factory.

The Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food examined capacities of the enterprise and familiarized with new development of a factory - hi-tech combines "Skif-230", "Skif-250" and "Skif-250r" which throughput significantly exceeds domestic analogues. By results of visit the arrangement on purchase by the Ministry of 200-300 combines for grain-harvesting campaign of next year has been reached.

"The country which produces such quantity of grain, should have powerful own agricultural mechanical engineering. At absence of grain-harvesting techniques we annually leave on fields nearby 4-5 million tons grain. These are billions dollars", - the Minister noted.

According to Mykola Prysyazhnyuk, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food planes to reach a parameter of cultivation of 80 million tons grain in a year to 2015-2016. And for this purpose landowners should have qualitative, modern techniques.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, Ukraine annually requires in nearby 7-7.5 thousand new combines. Demand for them should increase after completion of the land reform.

Also Mykola Prysyazhnyuk reminded, that on behalf of the Government the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food develops the Program of progress of agricultural mechanical engineering.
