Violators Must Pay for Bid-Rigging, FAS
OREANDA-NEWS. August 05, 2011. The Office of the Federal Antimonopoly Service in Moscow (Moscow OFAS Russia) received information that “Dmitrovskie Ovoschi” Ltd. paid the first part of the fine imposed upon the company for bid-rigging – over 1.5 million Rubles, reported the press-centre of FAS Russia.
On 12th May 2010, the Commission of Moscow OFAS Russia found “Dmitrovskie Ovoschi” Ltd. and three other companies (“Frutovit” Ltd., “TK Ditrade” Ltd. and “GIGIEYA” Trading House” Ltd.) violated Clause 2 Part 1 Article 11 of the Federal Law “On Protection of Competition”. The companies were engaged in concerted actions in course of an open auction for the right to conclude government contracts for supplying peeled potatoes and vegetables harvested in 2009.
Upon investigation of the antimonopoly case, members of the cartel are fined: “GIGIEYA” Trading House” Ltd. – over 100,000 Rubles, “Dmitrovskie Ovoschi” Ltd.б - over 4 million Rubles, “TK Ditrade” Ltd. – over 100,000 Rubles and “Frutovit” Ltd. - over 200,000 Rubles.
On 23rd July 2011, “Dmitrovskie Ovoschi” Ltd., that lost the appeal about abolishing the determination of Moscow OFAS Russia, paid the first part of the fine – over 1.5 million Rubles.
