New Route to Barcelona Joins Current Network from Vilnius
OREANDA-NEWS. August 03, 2011. Ryanair, Europe’s favourite low cost airline is announcing a new route to/from Vilnius y. Starting on the 30th of October 2011, Barcelona will join the current network with spans from Dublin over London, Milan, Rome, Girona and Bremen, making this the 7th exciting destination from Vilnius. Ryanair currently already flies to Barcelona-Girona and is now adding the main airport known as Barcelona El-Prat to its destination, reported the press-centre of Vilnius Airport.
The route to Barcelona will be operated twice per week, on Wednesdays and Sundays and offers direct access to the Capital City.
Katarzyna Gaborec, Ryanair’s Sales & Marketing Executive for Lithuania is pleased with the announcement today: “What a year it has been for Vilnius airport: not only does Ryanair now offer seven exciting destinations to/from Vilnius but passengers are booking the same like crazy. In our mind, due to phenomenal demand of our guaranteed lowest fares, passenger numbers in Vilnius have risen through the roof. We are delighted with our success here in Vilnius and expect this new destination to follow the success of the previous six.”

The route to Eindhoven in the Netherlands will start with the coming winter schedule and operate twice weekly.
