OREANDA-NEWS. August 2, 2011. Kyivstar connected to its broadband Internet network two more cities. They are Korostren and Torez. Thus, the "Home Internet" embraces 67 cities of Ukraine.

"Kyivstar" is continuing to expand the network of broadband Internet. From now on the residents of the two more cities, Korosten and Torez, can get connected to the "Home Internet" service through the access to the World Wide Web on the basis of the (FTTB technology) TeхHoлoгии FTTB. At present the Kyivstar Internet network spreads over 67 localities of Ukraine.

In Korosten, the Zhytomyr Oblast, 155 multi-apartment buildings situated on such streets as Hrushevskoho, Krupskoi, Kirova, Krasina, Korotun, Karl Liebknecht, Sholom-Aleikhem, Paryzhskoi Komuny, Sacco i Vanzetti, Kyivska, Sosnovskoho, Maiakovskoho, Pervshoho Travnia, Kotsiubynskoho, Gastello, etc. have been connected to the Kyivstar broadband network. In Torez, the Donetsk Oblast, the residents of 93 multistorey buildings located on such streets as Haharina, 50 rokiv SSSR, Pushkina, Nikolaieva, Ilicha, Pionerska, 1, 2, 3, 4 Microraion can use high-speed Internet from Kyivstar.

Kyivstar offers its clients unlimited access to the Internet at the most advantageous rates ranging from 55 UAH, depending on the required speed. Every month the "Home Internet" clients are accrued bonuses in the amount of the user’s fee, which they can use in order to pay for mobile communications.

Korosten is an old city, situated on the Uzh river. For the first time its name was mentioned in 945 AD. The city is an administrative center of the Korosten district of the Zhytomyr Oblast and a large railway hub of the Southwest Railway. Its population is more than 65 thousand people. The city is famous for valuable types of natural granites, rosin resin and exquisite porcelain.

Torez is a mining and industrial center in the east of the Donetsk Oblast. The city was founded in the 18th century. The population is 83 thousand people. The main area of the urban activity is coal—mining.

Totally, in Ukraine the Kyivstar broadband Internet services are available for 3 million 200 thousand apartments in more than 30 thousand buildings in 67 cities.
