OREANDA-NEWS. August 2, 2011. On August 1, 2011 futures contracts on the average power price index in the Center hub (ECBM-7.11 and ECPM-7.11), Ural hub (EUBM-7.11 and EUPM-7.11), Western Siberia hub (SWBM-7.11) and Eastern Siberia hub (SEBM-7.11) were settled.

In accordance with the contracts’ specifications the following final settlement prices were calculated:

ECBM-7.11 – 1,030.66 RUB/MWh

ECPM-7.11 – 1,167.30 RUB/MWh

EUBM-7.11 – 938.25 RUB/MWh

EUPM-7.11 – 1,036.80 RUB/MWh

SEBM-7.11 – 571.69 RUB/MWh

SWBM-7.11 – 488.39 RUB/MWh

The final settlement price is computed in accordance with the contract’s specifications based on the arithmetical mean of all values of the underlying power prices index that were published by the Moscow Energy Exchange in the period from July 1-31, 2011.

The below positions were settled for the following amounts:

ECBM-7.11 – 40 contracts for RUB3.071 million

ECPM-7.11 – 268 contracts for RUB8.546 million

EUBM-7.11 – 660 contracts for RUB46.06 million

EUPM-7.11 – 318 contracts for RUB9.003 million

SEBM-7.11 – 1598 contracts for RUB57.424 million

SWBM-7.11 – 600 contracts for RUB25.4 million

During the lifetime of the July power futures 2,165 trades representing 10,652 contracts were executed. Out of this number 3,484 contracts were held until expiry and were settled for a total of RUB149,503,561.
