OREANDA-NEWS. August 1, 2011. The Kyivstar broadband Internet is developing at a record pace: from January to July 2011 the number of cities, where the "Home Internet" service is provided, rose 75 percent, from 37 to 65 cities. Now "Home Internet" from Kyivstar can be used by more than 3 mln families.

The "Home Internet" service from "Kyivstar" has expanded its "geography’ to 75 percent for half a year. In July 2011 the company completed the construction of the fiber optic network in another 8 cities, and now it is possible to get connected to the high-speed „Home Internet" in 65 cities of Ukraine.

The new cities, where from July 2011 the „Home Internet" service is provided, are as follows: Oleksandria (Kirovohrad Oblast), Voznesensk (Mykolaiv Oblast), Vyzhhorod (Kyiv Oblast), Druzhkovka (Donetsk Oblast), Nova Kakhovka (Kherson Oblast), Novovolynsk (Volyn Oblast), Sverdlovsk (Luhansk Oblast) and Pesochyn (Dnipropetrivsk Oblast).

At the same time Kyivstar stepped up the construction of new fiber optic lines in earlier connected cities. The number of multistorey buildings connected to the high-speed Internet, exceeded 30 thousand. The Internet services at ultrahigh speed are now available for more than 3 million families.

The „Home Internet" clients receive from Kyivstar a unique offer, an unlimited wire Internet in the package with mobile communications. The user’s fee for using such a package ranges from 55.0 UAH a month, depending on the access speed chosen by the client. Every month the „Home Internet" clients get bonuses on their accounts in the amount of the paid user’s fee, which they can use for mobile communications.

For providing Internet services Kyivstar uses (FTTB technology) TeхHoлoгию FTTB (optics to building), which makes possible data transmission at 100 MB/sec. The clients are served by 4 Kyivstar call centers and 178 service centers that provide current consultations and assistance concerning all the issues of connection and use of the „Home Internet".
