OREANDA-NEWS. August 1, 2011. In June 2011, Sviaz-Bank gave 24.8 billion rubles in loans to corporate borrowers, twice as much as it did this past April and May.

In the six months of 2011, Sviaz-Bank increased its portfolio of loans to corporate customers to 90.8 billion rubles. The Bank’s biggest borrowers include communications businesses and power companies in St.Petersburg, and Leningrad, Vladimir, Ivanovo, Kursk, Tomsk, Novosibirsk, and Irkutsk regions, and elsewhere. The Bank’s portfolio also has loans to enterprises in the engineering, chemical, food, and other industries.

The Bank gives priority to business relations with small and medium-size businesses, including individual entrepreneurs – its portfolio of loans to this category of customers has grown by 39.1% since year beginning. In June 2011, the Bank issued 1.4 billion rubles in 100 loans to small and medium-size businesses.
