Moldova Provided USD44,5 mn to Serve State Debt in 1H
OREANDA-NEWS. August 01, 2011. Moldova provided USD 44.5 million to serve the foreign state debt in the first half of 2011, that makes up 94.1% of the amount planned for this period. USD 37.3 million leis were transferred to pay the main amount of the loans and USD 7.2 million – the interest, the Finance Ministry reported.
It was reported earlier that Moldova plans to spend USD 81.6 million in 2011 for serving the foreign state debt, 36% more than in 2010. Under the law on 2011 state budget, USD 65.7 million are to be paid on the main amount of the loans and USD 15.9 million – on the interest. In 2010, Moldova allocated USD 59.9 million to serve the foreign state debt.
According to the Finance Ministry’s data, particularly, payments of the main amount of the loans in January-December 2010 totaled USD 45.9 million, payments of the interest on them - USD 14 million.
