OREANDA-NEWS. August 01, 2011. Under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sports Eugene Sulima held the meeting of Competitive commission on the selection of the students training and internship post-graduate students and scientific-pedagogical workers in the leading abroad universities and scientific institutions. At the meeting participated representatives of the Department of higher education of the Ministry and rectors of the higher educational establishments of Ukraine.

Eugene Sulima informed that from the time of the announcement of competition the Ministry has received proposals from 66 universities, for consideration of the commission is invited to 428 candidates, among them: 133 - students, 122 - post-graduate students and 173 - the scientific-pedagogical workers.

The commission examined the cases of the first 144 candidates.

The First Deputy Minister Eugene Sulima reported that at the end of August - beginning of September, is scheduled a meeting of Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov with the students, who will be selected to study abroad.

As a result, Eugene Sulima noted: "We need to work to replenish the ranks of scientific workers, teachers, to have a promising young people who will work in higher educational institutions of Ukraine. And today, having the opportunity to communicate with you, wanted to say that this issue you need to deal with".

The First Deputy Minister also addressed to heads of institutions of higher education with the request to activate the work of international departments to establish relations with leading foreign educational institutions for the creation of opportunities for Ukrainian students and training post-graduate students and teachers.

"Students love their universities for the fact that they are paying attention. In view of the European integration processes and globalization, and the desire of our students compete knowledge on the international level is necessary to create conditions for young people to apply to the international departments of their universities, which are to help the students to select international master's program, fill in necessary documents, etc.", - said Eugene Sulima.
