OREANDA-NEWS. August 01, 2011. The first turn of runway of airport "Lviv" it will be opened to the Independence Day of Ukraine. Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine - Minister of Infrastructure Borys Kolesnikov informed about it during a working trip to Lvov.

Borys Kolesnikov emphasized that as a whole works on a runway finishes in December of this year. Then by the end of year a strip and new passenger terminal in Lviv will be put in operation.
"The runway and new passenger terminal of Lviv airport will meet the requirements of all world standards that will allow to accept large-sized planes and to serve a significant amount of passengers, - vice Prime Minister of Ukraine told. – First of all will, youth - graduates of the Ukrainian high schools will be involved in work on the airport. Here can work up to 2.5 thousand experts".

Thus the old terminal of the airport will be used as administratively-business centre of aircraft and will serve VIP-passengers.
