Tuapse Port’s Half-Year Exports Volume Slightly Down
OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2011. Cargo throughput of Tuapse Commercial Sea Port (TCSP) for the first half of 2011 amounted to 9.7 million tons, nearly close to last year’s figure, the stevedoring company said.
In the reporting period imports handled by TCSP increased by 35% year-on-year, to 484,000 tons, while exports declined by 1 percent to 9.2 million.
From January through July the company handled 509 ships (201 tankers at the port’s oil terminal, 308 - at dry cargo terminal) and 35,000 rail cars.
Tuapse Sea Commercial Port (JSC TCSP, TMTP) is the main operator of Port of Tuapse, a largest Russian port. The company is in majority ownership of Universal Cargo Logistics Holding (UCL Holding), which also owns a number of shipping, stevedoring, rail and logistics assets.
