OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2011. A delegation from Guangdong province is set to arrive in Hefei, capital city of Anhui province, Friday morning to attend a series of much-anticipated Anhui-Guangdong trade partnering activities.

The event was seen as part of the provinces' efforts to put into effect a strategic cooperative frame agreement inked last year.

Both sides have benefited a lot from cooperation and exchanges over the past few years. Guangdong province launched 1,005 programs each worth at least 10 million yuan covering the real estate sector, advanced equipment manufacturing, the pharmaceutical industry, automobile parts, building materials, furniture and catering, in Anhui province In 2010 alone. The total investment stood at 223.4 billion yuan (USD 34.4 billion) and 47.0 billion yuan have been spent to date.

The trade partnering activities will further enhance cooperation with Guangdong province, Anhui officials responsible for the event said.

The two sides will seek cooperation in fields such as industry, agriculture, cultural tourism, business services and logistics at the event.
