OREANDA-NEWS. July 29, 2011. The Prime Minister Mykola Azarov stresses the need for the systematic work of the Government to reduce the energy intensity of the economy. He announced this at the extended meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.

"It is the task of not one year, however, a lot can be done already today", - noted the Head of Government. He said that yesterday he took part in the opening of the bread-baking complex in Poltava, which is used boiler unit, which reduces the consumption of gas on baking of bread in 8 times. "The share of energy resources in the prime cost is reduced from 15% to 2%. So, the innovative attitude to technology, business initiative allow you to greatly reduce energy consumption", - Mykola Azarov underlined.

In this connection, the Prime Minister instructed the Ministry of economic development and trade, the Ministry of regional development, building and housing-communal services, Ministry of energy and coal industry in the full use of all determined by the legislation of incentives to support energy-saving projects.
