Tin plate is Baosteel's leading product. After 10 years of effort, Baosteel Co.,Ltd. has become tinplate product  enterprise which is the largest and of most complete variety, with annual tin plate output of up to 1.2 million tons, and which is widely used in the metal packaging industry. Especially since last year, Baosteel has set up a special tin plate production, marketing  and research promotion team, and achieved good results in improving the quality of tin plates.

At present, the domestic metal packaging industry has still stable development space. Pursuit of material security, material thinning trend prompted by energy saving, the changing from three-piece to two-piece beverage cans, are the key issues which tin plate manufacturers are faced with in future.
