OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2011. Russian carbon and graphite producer Energoprom, part of multi-industry holding Renova Group, plans to launch baked anode production at the Chelyabinsk Electrode Plant in 2012, Energoprom said in a statement Wednesday.

Investments in the project are expected to amount to more than USD 20 million, Energoprom said.

The annual production capacity of the plant is expected to be 100,000 tonnes of anodes.

Energoprom is the world’s fifth largest producer of carbon and graphite products, according to the company’s Web site.
