Freight One Increases Haulage of Farm Machinery
OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2011. Freight One’s Rostov branch has hauled more than 630 wagons loaded with combines and other farm machinery since the first of the year, an increase of 40% over the same period of last year.
The machinery is hauled from the Rostselmash Combine Plant in Rostov region. The two companies have been doing business together successfully since March 2009.
Machinery is sent from Rostov region on multi-purpose flatcars to farming companies in Cheboksary, Tula, Barnaul, Tomsk, Blagoveshchensk, Vologda, Yaroslavl and other cities.
The increase in haulage is a result of Freight One’s balanced rate policy. The rate that Freight One charges to haul farm machinery on flatcars is 22% less than the total cost of using state-owned wagons for the same purpose.
