OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2011. Changzhou China Steel Precision Materials Co.,ltd (CSPM) held its Celebration Ceremony of construction completion in its newly finished factory. Dr. Chou, Chairman of China Steel Corporation group (CSC group), hosted the machine starting and ribbon-cutting ceremony. By exhibiting the self-manufactured products such as pure titanium ingot, billet, bar and plate, CSPM had clearly demonstrated its product varieties and quality level which was the highlight of the ceremory. The attendees were deeply impressed by the most up-to-date equipments and production design , therefore, the ceremony had successfully given an overview of CSPM’s business scope to the distinguished guests from various fields and helped to expand its special alloy market in the future, reported the press-centre of CSC group.

During the ceremony, Chairman of CSC group Dr. Chou, President of CSC Mr. Ou, Chairman of CSPM Dr. Wang had showed warmest welcome to the distinguished guests on behalf of CSC group who had paid great input and concern to the projects of CSPM. 60 representatives from Changzhou City government also attented the ceremony, including the vice mayor of Changzhou City Gao Qing,deputy secretary of Wujin District of Changzhou Zang Jianzhong and other officials of Wujin Economic Development Zone Council. There were also guests of material suppliers and customers coming from different provinces of mainland China as well as Taiwan, Hongkong and Japan This indicated that CSPM had build up very close connection with the customers and raw material suppliers of special alloy in past half year with great efforts of its managing team from CSC.

Dr. Wang, Chairman of CSPM (Assist VP of Technology Division of CSC) had made a speech on the ceremony, briefly stated the history of CSPM’s project preparation, plant construction , transfer of managerial rights, company evolution and development after construction phase. Meanwhile, he elaborated how to pratice the company’s vision facing the challenge in the future and expressed his very expectation to make substantial contributions to the whole industry of this field.

Chairman of CSC, Dr. Chou ,expressed his sincere gratitude to the attendees and people who had kindly given assist to CSPM’s growth. At the same time, he was looking forward to working hand in hand with enterprises of mainland China and getting involved in the acceleration of economic growth. He said that CSPM would carry forward the fine traditions of CSC and practice its enterprise spirit—team-work,credit,down-to-earth,innovation and further develop its business by exquisite technology and optimized management to provide high level and professional service. It will follow the vision of CSC—to be a trustworthy specialty alloy company of global distinction that pursues value-innovation to customers, to lay a long-term foundation for CSC’s expansion.

CSPM had a successful trial-manufacture of titanium ingot with one of its key equipment VAR in early April this year. It has compeleted the construction and will start its normal production operation and business in July. The products will include titanium alloy, nickel alloy, tool and mold steel, special alloy and other high-end special alloy materials. The first batch of CSPM’s pure titanium billet will be shipped to CSC and then be rolled into plate and wire material in CSC’s rolling mill. Pure titanium plate will be used in high-tech industry field, such as sputtering target, pressure vessel, Aerospace and petrochemical industry.Titanium wire will be used in the field like advanced screw, nut, delicate glass frame and so on. Estalishment of CSPM marks CSC’s launch into precision material field and CSC will develop alloy steel from its basis of carbon steel. CSC will build a supply chain which is quite different from traditional iron and steel industry, also it will develop with the growth of metal industry in both Taiwan and mainland China, thus, a implicit competitive drive of CSC is to be cultivated.

Since CSPM finished its share right transfer in January 6th , 2011, the completion of its plant constrction has been a significant milestone. Then it will confront more challenging tasks, such as to stabilize mass output, to further develop its products , to improve product quality, to exploit the market and so on.
