Share of Non-Performing Loans in Moldova Amounted to 9,2%
OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2011. It reduced by 4.12 percentage points since the beginning of the year, while in comparison with June 2010, the reduction was 8.27 percentage points, according to the National Bank of Moldova. The share of nonperforming credits in the total normative capital by end-June 2011 made up 36.11%. Since the beginning of 2011 it has decreased by 13.57 p.p., in comparison with June 2010 – by 24.71 p.p.
At the same time, nonperforming assets by end-June 2011 made up 6.9% of the total volume of assets (-2.08 p.p. since the beginning of 2011) and 45.91% - of the total normative capital (-12.68 p.p.). The share of overdue and interest free credits in the total volume of credits by end-June 2011 constituted 9.64%, down 1.59 p.p. compared to the situation by the end-December 2010, and down 8.34 p.p. compared to the indicators by end-June last year. At the same time, the share of overdue and interest free credits in the total normative capital by end-June 2011 constituted 37.83%, 4.05 p.p. less than in December 2010, and 24.77 p.p. less than indicators of June 2010.
The share of industrial and commercial credits by end-June 2011 accounted for 52.91%, up 1.34 p.p. from the beginning of the year and 1.8 p.p. – in comparison with June 2010. The share of agricultural loans and food industry credits has reduced by 0.29 p.p. since the beginning of the year – to 14.57%, and by 1.48 p.p. in comparison with June 2010.
The share of loans for real estate, construction and development amounted to 11.69% by the end-June, down 0.65 p.p. from the beginning of the year and 0.7 p.p. in comparison with June 2010. Consumer loans accounted for 8.23%, down 0.17 p.p. from the end-December 2010 but up 0.05 p.p. – in comparison with June last year.
