OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2011. The Estonian ANS and the SESAR Joint Undertaking are holding a seminar with the aim to provide an overview and update on the latest developments about the most ambitious European programme in Aviation, reported the press-centre of EANS.

SESAR is the operational and technological answer to the major challenges of European air traffic growth. The aim of the SESAR Joint Undertaking is to ensure the modernisation of the European air traffic management system by coordinating and concentrating all relevant research and development efforts in the European Union. Partnership, sustainability and user-drive are key concepts of the SESAR Joint Undertaking approach.

It is a unique opportunity to get detailed presentations from highly ranked speakers visiting Estonia/ Baltics such as: Mr Siim Kallas – Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Transport, Mr Juhan Parts – Minister of Economic Affairs and Communications of Estonia, Mr Patrick Ky – Executive Director of the SESAR Joint Undertaking. Reports from Airline industry and NORACON Consortium (group of North-European ANSP taking part in SESAR programme) are also expected.

The target audience of the seminar is top management & Flight OPS representatives of Airlines & Airports, Aviation Industry, politicians and trade associations from Estonia as well as other Baltic States.

The seminar hosted by Estonian ANS will be held on the 2nd of September 2011. The detailed agenda of the seminar will be distributed early August.
