OREANDA-NEWS. July 27, 2011. In advance of the holiday of the 20-anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the hi-tech equipment of the Japanese manufacture had been delivered ahead of the schedule to OJSC "Tashkent Heat and Power Plant". First two trailers with large-sized cargo (this are spare parts to the gas turbine and the generator) were delivered at OJSC "Tashkent Heat and Power Plant", reported the press-centre of Uzbekenergo.

For years of Independence of the Republic, the Power Industry of Uzbekistan has achieved the certain results in the development and has increased its potential by introduction of the new generating capacities. As of today the important stage is the modernization and reconstruction already existing electric facilities producing the electric power.

By the investment program authorized by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "About Priorities of Development of the Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2011-2015" the realization of the project "Implementation of co-generation gas turbine installation" is stipulated at OJSC "Tashkent Heat and Power Plant". The project is performed in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No 1277 dated 04.02.2010. The proposals of the Japanese Organization on Development of Power and Industrial Technologies (NEDO) were taken as a basis of the project, and as a result the Memorandum of Mutual Understanding on realization of the project between the Government of Uzbekistan and NEDO had been signed.
The proposed technologies are new for the Power Industry of Uzbekistan and that’s why, this project is a Pilot Project, it is showing advantage highly effective co-generation gas turbine installation under production of heating and electric power. The installation of the gas turbine, (manufactured by company "Hitachi") with the generator by capacity of 27 MW and the waste-heat boiler with overall productivity 47t/h is provided for the Project. Steam supply with parameters 414?С and 30 kgf/cm2 is carried out in the plant collector of superheated steam, output of capacity will be carried out through the transformer 110/220 kV on PTL 110 kV.

As a result of implementation of the project, at "Tashkent Heat and Power Plant" the electric power generation is increasing from 130 up to 300 mln. kV/h per year, reliable power supply of such important objects as the Airport of Tashkent, a heat supply of the central part of Tashkent, the car-repair factory is provided. With the introduction of new technologies the economy of fuel in a volume of 65 mln.m3 of natural gas will be achieved annually and the reduction of heat input for own needs of the Plant will also be achieved and due to installation of the gas turbine which will increasing share of generation of the electric power by others TPP's with the high specific charge of fuel. Decreasing of natural gas consumption meets to reduction of CO2 emissions in atmosphere for 65 thousand t per year.

Realization of the project is carried out by own means of SJSC "Uzbekenergo" and NEDO (Japan) funds, the main equipment such as: gas turbine, gas turbine generator and the heat recovery steam generator are delivered by the Japanese Party. Within the framework of the project the Japanese company "Tohoku Electric Power " is rendering consulting services on design, civil and erection works at the Project site.

In parallel with this project at "Tashkent Heat and Power Plant", at full speed the civil work are carrying out, the access road had been constructed on the territory of this enterprise where large-sized cargoes could be delivered. The works for leveling operation had been completed and the works on construction of the foundation for Open Switch Gear with capacity 110 kV are started. The transit communications are taken away from territory of site.
