OREANDA-NEWS. On August 26, the IBA Training Center (Minsk, Belarus) will hold a pioneering certification exam on the Project Management Professional (PMP) program, reported the press-centre of IBA.

In addition to Kyiv (Ukraine), Moscow, and Saint-Petersburg (Russia), the professionals will be able to obtain the credential of Project Management Institute (PMI) in Minsk, Belarus. The IBA Training Center has become the fourth center in the CIS that offers the PMP certification.

The PMP certification is getting more popular each year. Government, commercial and other organizations employ PMP certified project managers in an attempt to improve the success rate of projects in all areas of knowledge. Professionals take the exam to verify their proficiency in project management with an internationally accepted certificate. Many contractors hire certified PMPs to make their bids and proposals more attractive to prospects. Sometimes, RFPs require that project managers must be certified PMPs.

To take a PMP certification exam, candidates must verify:

Bachelor's degree with 36 months (4,500 hours) of project management experience

At least 35 contact hours of project management education.
