OREANDA-NEWS. July 26, 2011. In its endeavour to provide access to better health care to the communities around its plants, Tata Power, India’s largest integrated private power company, has been working relentlessly to organise various health camps in Jamshedpur. The company has started a new initiative, wherein a homeopathy camp will be organised every month at the Samudayik Vikas Kendra, Chotta Govindpur.

This month the homeopathy day camp was organised on July 22, 2011, between 10am to 1pm, and serviced around 90 patients. Further, Dr SS Sagu and Dr (Ms) A Sagu, two of the most respected doctors in Jamshedpur, treated the patients attending the camp.

During the camp, the doctors provided consultation for ailments ranging from cold, cough, fever to knee pain and other seasonal diseases, and collected feedback on health. The patients were pleased with the treatment provided. Tata Power, Jamshedpur, employees accompanied by PL Manjrekar, general manager, Jojobera thermal plant, also volunteered their services to organise and set up the camp, thereby making it a tremendous success.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Manjrekar said, “Health care is the need of the hour for the people in Chotta Govindpur. So far, people in Chotta Govindpur were seeking access to health care facilities available near their village.
