Moldovan Entrepreneurs to Obtain Trade Licenses in Their Settlements
OREANDA-NEWS. July 25, 2011. The primary local public authorities will be entitled to issue trade licences, following some legislative amendments that had their first reading in the parliament.
Thus, business people from Moldovan settlements will no longer need to go to district centres and spend additional money to obtain the documents needed as they will have the right to apply for trade licences in their residence settlement.
One of the authors of the draft law, MP Vadim Cojocaru said that the legislative amendments will enhance the independence of the public authorities in the regions, in line with the local autonomy and decentralization principles.
Presently, only district public authorities have such competences, after the primary local public authorities had been stripped of this right under the law on domestic trade passed on 23 September 2010.
The lawmakers also adopted a decision on the completion of the spring-summer parliamentary session on 29 July.
