OREANDA-NEWS. July 21, 2011. Ingosstrach Insurance Company became a federal sponsor of the VIII All-Russian Professional Road Train Driver Contest ‘ASMAP-Profi 2011’. The selection rounds between participating carriers took place in Rostov-on-Don, Saint Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Vladivostok. In the nearest future similar selection rounds will be held in Novosibirsk, Yekaterinburg, Naberezhniye Chelny and Bryansk. The final round of the contest will be hosted in Bryansk.

The professional driver skills competition is intended to highlight high professional level of road train drivers, draw attention of the general public to Russian international motor transport and its role in the country’s economy, and ultimately promote the good image of international truck operators.

The participants demonstrate their skills by driving along special courses in limited space conditions. Based on results of the selection rounds the best participants and teams are identified. Winners of regional rounds will be entitled to challenge each other in the final run.

Ingosstrach Insurance Company has been the partner of ASMAP Profi contest for the six consecutive years. Following the competition results the company’s representatives award certificates and promotional gifts from Ingosstrach Insurance Company to the truck operators who won personal trophies, and managers of the respective transport companies.
