OREANDA-NEWS. July 20, 2011. "Naftogaz Ukrainy" and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development have signed the Memorandum of intentions to finance reconstruction of the Ukrainian gas-transport system. The document was signed by deputy head of board NJSC Vadym Chuprun and the director of EBRD in Ukraine Andre Kuusvek.

As Andre Kuusvek informed journalists, the Memorandum provides the state guarantees of Ukraine, timeframe of repayment of the credit - 15 years. In September consulting company Mott MacDonald should provide the report on the project of modernization of the Ukrainian GTS then at a session of the main office of EBRD in London the decision on signing the contract will be accepted.

"We hope to sign the project in this year", - director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Ukraine told.

He also has not excluded the further financing of stages of reconstruction of the Ukrainian GTS.
